Spring Term 2016

Friday 18th March

The creativity of all pupils continued today with many new exciting ideas being planned and some new projects and passions beginning to take shape.

Friday 11th March

The genius hour creations continue with further improvements and finishing touches. Some pupils are still working on their initial project, whilst some have moved forward with another of their passions or wonders. Whatever stage the pupils are at each week they continue to amaze us with such wonderful and imaginative creations.

Friday 12th February

It's been another engaging and busy genius hour in year 2 today. With all pupils taking part in the making stage with some pupils having already completed their 1st project. We've seen a science experiment, cooking, sewing, craft, model making and much more! Have look at the photos below that the pupils are very proud of. Also keep a look out to see where the Genius Hour will take the pupil's learning next half term!

Friday 2nd February

There has been more fun, creativity and excitement this afternoon during Genius Hour. With many pupils at different stages. Some pupils have been thinking hard, planning and designing whilst some have been hands on making! We are really pleased with how the children are progressing with this new initiative and have already been amazed with some of the children's ideas! Please ask your child what they are planning to make and what materials they will need. The school has certain resources but won't be able to provide everything. If items your child will require could be provided from home to suit their specific requirements it would be much appreciated. If they could be brought to school next week ready for them to begin the making process that would be great. Many thanks for your support!

January

Mrs Thomas has introduced Genius Hour this term and we are all very excited. Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning more about what Genius Hour is and what it means for us as learners. We've made a start by taking time to think about 'Our Wonders' and 'Passions' in life. I wonder where our thoughts and ideas may take us? Have a look at how we've got on.
