Outdoor Maths-Probability

Pupils had fun with Miss Forrest today taking their maths learning outdoors! Pupils enjoyed carrying out practical activities to grasp a solid understanding of 'Probablilty'.

17th March 2017

Pupils have had fun today creating their own Kahoot quiz for their peers to play. In order to create the quiz successfully pupils had to apply their understanding of the mathematical term 'factors'.

Pupils enjoyed taking their maths learning outdoors this week to work on their measuring skills.

Friday 20th January 2017

In their 'Flipped Learning' lesson this week the focus was symmetry skills. Pupils chose their starting activity according to how they felt about the knowledge prior to the start of the lesson. Pupils soon were able to move their learning forward and progress onto the next level task. Take a look at just some of their learning.

As part of their work on money this week the Children in need donations on Friday  were calculated in Miss Williamson's class! Da iawn! The total amount raised was impressive!

Week beginning 7th November 2016

Following their work on perimeter pupils have been calculating the area of squares and rectangles using standard units. They then used their knowledge to carry out space themed problems helping Tim Peake with his special requests. Good job pawb!

All pupils thoroughly enjoyed their flipped learning lesson today about coordinates. Pupils carried out a variety of activities and challenges according to where they felt their own starting point was. They took full responsibility for their own learning, didn't give up and all moved forward at their on level and pace within the lesson! Well done to you all.
