The pupils in Year 6 showed brilliant entrepreneurial skills recently, when they organised a Victorian extravaganza event for other pupils and parents to enjoy. The event, which the pupils spent weeks organising and saw them working with local businesses to market and arrange, was a huge success and raised an incredible amount of money.
Pupils spoke to the admin manager, Mr Potter, and shared their budget plans in order to borrow money from the school accounts in order to make a profit. After securing their funding, they set their sights on organising their stalls. Stalls included a hot dog stall, pop corn stall, drinks stalls, tombola and many more.
To advertise, they called upon local business Mojo Marketing, to support them in developing a poster to promote their event. The finished promotional leaflet looked very professional and ensured that many parents came to the event in the main hall.
Following the successful event, the pupils were able to count the money they had in their tills and establish if they had any profits after returning their borrowed funds to Mr Potter. There were smiles all round as all the stalls turned a profit and will allow the pupils a small budget to work with when planning their end of year prom.
Well done to all our pupils and staff for organising such a superb event.
