Persuasive Writing

Persuasive Writing

Year 6 pupils have been learning how to persuade people to buy products.  They began their learning journey with a 'Cold Task' to find out what they knew about this text type.  From their, they identified the features of a WAGOLL and began to 'Magpie' ideas from many different persuasive texts.  The pupils investigated boastful language, imperative verbs and rhetorical questions to aid their writing.  They created a QVC style presentation using green screen and book creator - this really helped with expression and tone of voice.  The pupils planned their writing using a box it up tool.  Finally, it was time to write their 'Hot Tasks.' CPI was used to peer improve their writing.
