7th December 2017-Festive Santa Run in aid of Welsh Air Ambulance

Year 5 along with the whole school got into the Christmas spirit today by participating in our charity festive run. A huge well done and thank you to all pupils, staff and of course the parents for their generous donations and support.

Parent and pupil Christmas Craft morning

Year 5 were in the festive spirit this morning as they welcomed some of their family into school to take part in their Christmas craft morning. Together they enjoyed making a range of craft to sell out our school Christmas Fayre later this month. We had some wonderful products as a result of this and parents enjoyed themselves with their children too over a coffee and mince pie!

Diolch for all off your support it was a great morning, thoroughly enjoyed by all.

27th October-'Celebration of Excellence afternoon'

Year 5 pupils were amongst many other pupils from across the school today who were responsible for talking to our school Governors and parents about all of the wonderful work that goes on in our school. A big thank you to all those pupils from various pupil voice groups that spoke so confidently throughout the afternoon. Also a big thank you to all those parents, friends, Governors and members of our community who came along to support us.

Halloween Fun

Pupils made an early start getting involved in Halloween fun this week. They didn't just dress up in their Halloween outfits but  were invited to decorate a pumpkin as part of a competition and bring it into school to be judged. In year 5 alone we were delighted with the response and enjoyed looking at all the different creations! It was very difficult to judge a winner as all were amazing. However the overall winner was awarded to Ella Youell!

Well done everyone!

16th October Shwmae Day!

Pupils in year 5 had fun celebrating Shwmae day today! As part of the fun to celebrate they carried out some great activities. They design new costumes and outfits for Mr Urdd, showed off their creativity with some grafiti writing and to top it off baked and decorated their own biscuits! Much fun was had by all!

Outdoor Learning Day

Year 5 pupils were amongst many others in school today to step outside and take part in outdoor learning. Year 5 visited the park to collect natural resources and then returned to school where their creativity began! They worked well within their groups to create their very own South American tribal masks with clay and the resources that they had collected from the park. Their creations were all absolutely amazing! Take a look at the wonderful works of art that they cleverly created.

Pupils also got their fingers dirty and got stuck into the overgrown planters outside of their classrooms! They have bow planted new bulbs that we can watch grow and look after! Diolch !

Shwmae Day-16th October

Remember Shwmae day is on the 16th October and we're inviting all pupils to wear something red, white or green to celebrate the occasion. We will also be taking part in fun activities in school on this day! Make sure you're in school so that you don't miss out on the fun!

25th September 2017 Fair trade hunt

Pupils enjoyed a trip to their local Tesco store today to carry out a Fair trade hunt. As part of our topic on Fair trade pupils had to find a range of products displaying the Fair trade badge, identify their country of origin and make price comparisons with those of non-Fair trade items.
