Pembroke Dock Community School have recently been awarded the 360* Online Safety Mark - accreditation which recognizes a commitment to educating pupils about staying safe online. The school have worked hard over the last three years to develop the importance of online safety and this was recognised by lead assessor, Rob Walters (ERW). In his assessment feedback, he said "Leadership of online safety is excellent and has ensured that an ethos of online safety permeates through the school. Pupil influence, is both effective and innovative. The posters, videos and tip sheets created by the pupils ensure that pupils and parents have constant reminders regarding relevant online safety messages. The staff training program at the school is well planned and varied to ensure they are confident delivering online safety lessons and messages".
The school would like to thank the efforts of the Online Safety Group ( a group consisting of teachers, support and admin staff, governors and parents) as well as the excellent Digital Leaders group who have done a tremendous job in showcasing how important online safety is and what can be done to stay safe when using digital tech both in school and at home.
