Tree planting - Go Wild Day

Pupils spent the day planting a variety of trees on the school grounds last week at Pembroke Dock Community School. The initiative is part of a wider scheme to improve the outdoor areas within the school and the planting of these trees will help to develop a lovely area for the pupils to investigate on the field. Mrs Hughes, who helped coordinate the planting of the trees said "The children have been very enthusiastic about planting their own trees, most have not had an opportunity to do this before and it has been great to see them wanting to dig, plant and water the saplings. This promises to improve the outdoor area, not only for this generation of pupils, but for many future generations too".
