Harry Potter Day 23rd June 2017
Pupils had a great day celebrating 20 years of Harry Potter today. With ,many dressed up, both pupils and staff had an enjoyable day and took part in a range of exciting and fun activities to mark the event.
Year 5 pupils enjoyed an interesting talk today from our visiting Fire Officer. The year group were engaged and well informed about safety with electricity within the home! The pupils listened well and we hope that they have shared what they have learnt back at home with their families.
Diolch yn fawr to Lee Simmons for giving up his time to come in and talk to the children! Much appreciated.
Evacuated to Tenby!
All pupils thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Tenby and the experience of being evacuated during the war. Take a look at just some of our favourite photos from the day!
Trip to Tenby-Immersive Day Evacuee Experience
Pupils in Year 5 will be shortly having another Immersive Day, this time a trip on the train to Tenby. As stated in the letter that pupils brought home the trip requires a contribution of £2.50 per child. We invite the children to wear a 1940s evacuee costume of their choice to make the experience as engaging as possible for them. The train departs from Pembroke Dock station at 11;09am should you wish to come along and wave your children off as we leave!

It was a great way to finish a busy week today with a super assembly presented by the children of class 5.3. Thank you to all parents, family and friends who came support the pupils, we hope you enjoyed!
2nd March 2017-World Book Day
As if this week hadn't been exciting enough! But many pupils dressed up today to celebrate World Book Day. As well as dressing as their favourite book characters pupils carried out a readathon, a book cover competition, recycled and exchanged their old books with their peers and even found time to listen to the younger pupils read! Well done year 5 and well done year 1 the pupils were very impressed!
1st March - Eisteddfod celebrations

Monday 27th February 2017-Greek immersive day
What a day!! Pupils had a wide range of experiences today from boarding an aircraft, to being made aware of the safety rules of flying. They had a taste of what Greece is like as a country, saw some of the sights, tasted some of the foods and even got to learn how to dance ' Greek style'. All pupils were fully immersed in their learning and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Take a look at just some of the things that they got up to!
Safer Internet Day 7th February 2017
Pupils were engaged in discussions and activities today to raise awareness of staying safe online! To mark the event children created their own 'Digital Survival Kit'. They chose what they felt would be important items to include in the kit bag to stay safe online and gave reasons for their choices. Some very important messages presented in a colourful and creative way! Da iawn pawb! Please share what you know with others! Beware what you share!
Year 5 pupils enjoyed a fascinating session with local photographer Susan McKehon on Wednesday 25th January.
Building up to the Rotary Photographer of the Year competition, the Year 5 pupils were given a 45 minute presentation on the work Susan has done, and in particular, focused on the theme of the competition - 'Reflection'. Pupils were in awe of the work Susan presented, and her tips and ideas for producing a high quality photo will really benefit the pupils as they being to plan what photo they will enter into the competition.
The pupils and staff would like to thank Susan for her time and effort and producing a wonderful presentation for the pupils. Diolch!
Go Orange Day in aid of Muscular Dystrophy!
Pupils and staff in years 5 and 6 took part in the Go Orange day today in order to raise money for a very worth while charity! From orange face paint and hair, football kits, other orange clothing and full tiger onsies many got in the spirit and raised a great amount of money! Diolch yn fawr pawb!
Friday 27th January 2017
Pupils from class 5-2 held a lovely assembly this afternoon for their parents. They shared some of their recent literacy work inspired by the poet Kit Wright. They shared with us their knowledge of the poetic technique 'personification' and some of the beautiful poetry they have created from it. Thank you to all family and friends who gave up their time to come and support them!

Class 5-1 Assembly
Family and friends came to school today to watch their children present their class assembly. Pupils spoke exceptionally well about the value and importance of 'Trust'. They also shared a visual journey of their learning experiences last term. Well done everyone!
18th November 2016
Pembroke Dock festival group joined year 5 this week to show their creative skills. All pupils were shown how to make their own lanterns. Pupils now have the opportunity to show off their lanterns at the Lantern Parade. This is being held on Friday 9th December 2016. Pupils need to meet at the youth centre from 5pm in order to collect their lanterns ready for the parade! Take a look at how they got on, very impressive!

PC Davies made a special visit to School today to talk to the pupils about Cyber-bullying. The pupils listened well and were very interested in the important message she shared with them about staying safe online. Diolch yn fawr PC Davies.
18th October 2016 'Big Bang' science day
Some year 5 pupils were amongst others today who joined with many local schools for a Science day. The children were faced with many exciting and interesting activities and challenges and explored a range of different skills including their 'coding' skills. They even brought one of their models they made and raced back to school to show their peers.
5th October 2016-Harvest Celebrations
Da Iwan today to the year 5 pupils who joined the rest of key stage 2 for our Harvest celebrations. Pupils read beautifully, sang a range of lovely songs in both English and Welsh and were a credit to the school! Da iawn pawb! Pictured below are the children who read religious stories and prayers.

Jeans for Genes Day!
Many pupils and staff supported the charity today coming into school in their jeans and denim clothing! The charity raises funds to help and support children with genetic disorders. Thank you for all your support and generosity. Let's wait and show how much we raised as a school!
