Summer Fete was a huge success!

The school fete was a great success this week and with the kind weather many friends and families gathered to join in the fun. The cake stall was a sell out and the year 1 and 2 staff would like to thank all of the children and parents for their kind, generous and delicious donations! Also pictured below are some year 2 children who were amongst the lucky raffle winners.

Foundation Phase Sports Day

Year 2 were amongst many from the Foundation Phase who thoroughly enjoyed their sports day today. The weather was kind and all of children and staff enjoyed the great atmosphere. A huge well done to each and every participant. The races were very well organised and the children incredibly well behaved. Year 2 children and staff would like to thank families and friends for supporting PDCS in this event.

27th May Food Hygiene Show come to PDCS!

A great show watched by all today with a very important message. The year 2 pupils will be able to share many crucial food hygiene facts with adults at home. 

Monday 23rd May Race for Life

Fun was enjoyed by all pupils and staff today, as thanks to the kind weather we were able to finally to hold our Race for Life event on the local Pennar football field. With banners, music and parental support the children had a fabulous morning running and taking part, all for a fantastic cause! A big thank you from the staff for your kidness and generosity shown in the fundraising for this charity. We look forward to next years event!


 18th May 2016

A local fire officer paid a visit to year 2 today to keep them informed on how to stay safe. All pupils enjoyed the talk and have learnt a very important message that hopefully they will have shared with you at home!

Pembroke Dock's Got Talent-Foundation Phase final!

What a competition!! A huge thank you to all year 2 competitors. The children were very courageous and very entertaining. We were entertained with singing, hoola hooping, magic and irish dancing.  Congratulations to all 4 girls for making the final and a special well doine to Kelsey Lewis for coming 3rd place overall in the Foundation Phase competition.

Pembroke Dock's Got Talent! Thursday 12th May


We will be holding auditions on Tuesday the 10th of May for our annual Pembroke Dock's Got Talent Show. If your child would like to audition please can they bring in whatever they need to support them in their act in ready for Tuesday's audition. For example, costume, music or props. The winner of each class audition will be show casing their talent in the final on Thursday 12th May.

Thank you for your support it's going to be a fun and exciting week!



A memorable day at Pembroke Dock Community School!

Both the year 1 and 2 children and staff had a wonderful celebration of their own on Thursday as they celebrated Her Majesty The Queen's 90th birthday. With crowns, bunting, party food, music and dancing the children had an enjoyable time that we're sure they'll remember for a long time to come!




Royal celebrations Thursday 21st April!

Staff and pupils in years 1 and 2 will be joining in with Her Majesty The Queen's Royal celebrations this Thursday the 21st as she celebrates her 90th birthday. To mark the occasion we would like to encourage pupils to wear red, white and blue and in the afternoon we will be holding our own Royal Party! It would be much appreciated if we could ask for your support and contribute an item of packaged party food to help us to celebrate this wonderful occasion. Many thanks for your continued support. We are certain it will be a wonderful event for the children to look back on.

Pirate Day!!

It was all hands on deck at Pembroke Dock Community School in Year 2 today. Plenty of pirates arrived to a big surprise to find their classrooms transformed! Some found themselves on a sandy, desert island with chests of treasure! Whilst some pirates were able to board the ship and meet Captain Jack Sparrow! The Pirates themselves were involved in the planning process to see where they wanted to take their learning next. With some fantastic ideas we can't wait to see whose pirate lesson we will develop and deliver first. All staff and pupil's had a wonderful day. All Pirates were fully engaged and inspired and delighted to be part of the fun! Take a look me hearties at how we got along! 




Happy Easter Pasg Hapus!

All pupils were in the Easter spirit today and looking forward to their holiday. Pictured below are some pupils who were keen to get involved with the Easter celebrations with their beautifully decorated bonnets. Bendegedig girls! 

An important visitor calls in on Year 2! 

PC Davies delivered an interesting lesson to the children today about being safe. All pupils listened enthusiastically, were keen to participate and enjoyed the fun activities. A very big thank you from us to PC Davies and we look forward to the next visit.


St David's Day - Tuesday 1st March


Year 2 performed their St David's day concert today. It was lovely to see such a wonderful turn out with great support from families and friends.

Thursday the 21st November-National hug day!

Mrs Williams' class were just one amongst many today who enjoyed the company of their favourite bear in aid of National hug day.


A special visit from PC Davies

Year 2 children welcomed PC Davies today as she visited the school. The children

listened well and enjoyed being actively involved in discussing school rules, right or wrong and The Law! 



Christmas jumper day on the last day of term

Just a reminder that Friday the 18th is Christmas jumper day in aid of the save the children charity. Merry Christmas to you all. Nadolig Llawen Pawb!



Year 2 were excited today as a special visitor came to the school to visit. The children were fortunate enough to get to speak to Santa personally and each were delighted to receive a little early present from Santa himself. The afternoon then continued as all the children and staff enjoyed dancing and fun and games at their Christmas party.


2015's Christmas concert of Ralph The Reindeer

Year 1 and 2 had a great time today performing their Christmas concert Ralph The Reindeer. Children showed off their musical talents, their singing and dancing skills and narrating and acting skills. Pembroke Dock Community School Christmas Fayre Thursday 3rd December!

Please can The year 2 staff ask for your support in this worthwhile event in bringing in cake donations for us to sell. Please could any donations be brought in by Wednesday the 2nd December. Your support is much appreciated. 




Today's assembly was presented by Miss Evans' class 

Class 2.3 delivered this mornings assembly all about our school value of peace. Their assembly had a clear message with great singing and many instruments being played too. Well done Miss Evans' class.



FIFA Live Your Goals Girls Football Festival Thursday the 26th November

Year 2 girls are looking forward to Thursday where they will be visiting the leisure centre in the morning for a feast of footballing fun followed by an afternoon in Bridge Meadow to watch the UEFA Welsh Womens European qualification match Kazakhstan! Keep a look out later in the week to see what we got up to!


What a fun and active day we've had!

The girls have had a fantastic day out today with fun football games and activities, inflatable football, street dance and Welsh face painting and to top it off what a great game of football and a good win for Wales 4-0! Take a look at just some of the fun we have had.


Children In Need 2015


Every pupil did their bit for children in need today and had lots of fun dressing up and bringing their bake off selections into school. With many fantastic cakes within the year group they were finally narrowed down to 2 overall winners. The best 3 fancy dress outfits from each class were also chosen. A great day all round! Thank you children and parents for your support to such a great charity. A special well done also today to class 2.2 for presenting a lovely assembly!


Children In Need Friday 13th November


To support Children In Need children are being asked to come to school on Friday the 13th November dressed as a superhero of their choice! Support Pudsey and be a hero for the day!
